This book follows the animals of a farm who end up rebelling against the farmer and who end up creating their own society in the vacuum created.
This book serves as a rather subtle and indirect but definite critic of authoritarian structures in the facade of being for the “people”. The critic itself is similar to the systematic critic in 1984 but while 1984 is more like a punch to the face Animal Farm is more discrete.
I really believe the works of George Orwell deserve the fame they have gotten. Of course the critic serves more of a warning to the people of his time but it doesn’t mean that the book has lost any of it’s purpose.
