Kanazawa is one of the more well known cities in the Ishikawa area. It is mostly known for the Kenrokuen park and the Kanazawa castle. The castle was unfortunately being renovated when we were there, so the photos weren’t really worth sharing. Another more obscure place we visited was the Sendake Garden, owned by a very friendly person who also toured us around. It is based on the Kenrokuen park style but in a more compact format. If you happen to be in the area, I would recommend visiting there and if there is a man standing there asking if you want a tour, that is the owner.
